RED CARD POLICY
Any player, who receives a red card, will automatically receive a one match suspension.The player may appeal this decision.
Upon receiving notification of the appeal, the automatic suspension will be held over until the match committee have investigated the incident and reviewed all evidence. A meeting with the player, witnesses and match committee will convene within one week.
Please Note: The Match Committee may increase the one match suspension depending on the outcome of investigation and the severity of the incident
Any player that receives a red card throughout the season will NOT be eligible to receive any trophies. However eligibility for trophies may alter, if the appeal is successful, and the recipient of the red card was found to have been wrongfully carded.
Mornington Peninsula Hockey Club does NOT condone un-sportsman-like behaviour.
Registered Umpires issuing a red card may also forward a report to Hockey Victoria and offending persons may be required to attend a tribunal hearing. Hockey Victoria may issue additional penalties to those imposed by clubs.
